Golden Hour Magic: A Dreamy Maternity Session at Leo Carrillo

There are certain locations that never fail to take my breath away, and Leo Carrillo in Malibu is one of them. With its rugged cliffs, rolling waves, and the most jaw-dropping sunsets, it's the perfect backdrop for any session—maternity, family, couples—you name it. Every time I shoot here, I fall in love with its beauty all over again.

This particular maternity session might just be one of my favorites to date. The day was absolute perfection—golden light filtering through the sky, the ocean dancing with gentle waves, and the sweetest couple radiating pure joy and anticipation for their little one.

From the moment we arrived, I knew this session was going to be special. We started with soft, intimate moments along the cliffs, . The glow of the setting sun wrapped around them like a warm embrace, highlighting the love they share.

As the sun dipped lower, we moved down to the shoreline, where the reflection of the golden sky kissed the wet sand. Barefoot and lost in the moment, they laughed, held each other close, and simply reveled in this fleeting chapter before parenthood. These are the moments I live to capture—raw, unscripted, and filled with emotion.
